Our story opens with Mr. Noah trying his best to clean up all the garbage that has collected in our world. He receives no help from his neighbors who jeer and make fun of his efforts. His family is also of no help. Jock Ham forever bullying his younger brothers: brainy Shem, ahead of his time, inventing strange inventions and helpless Japeth, the baby of the bunch, forever being pushed around by his elders. His wife Mrs. Noah is also of no help, forever busy in the kitchen, coming up with dishes that are greeted none-too-enthusiastically by her family. Mr. Noah’s problems are compounded by the fact his eldest son is forever being tempted by the “good life” he witnesses the ne’er do well neighbors enjoy. A life of no responsibility towards oneself and towards others.
