Manila Ocean Park has launched a mermaid show last 05 June 2009. The “Mermaids” will be members of the Reirose Synchro Sirens, and will be performing inside the actual tanks of the Oceanarium, in the Look function room. This joint project, the first of its kind in Manila Ocean Park, aims to exhibit graceful movements and elegant display of artistic story portrayed by a group of professional swimmers as part of the Manila Ocean Park’s (MOP) Mermaid Show. The swimmers will be performing in characters which will come into sight from the wonders of the underwater nature.

Performances will be demonstrated at the main tank, more popularly known as the Buhay na Karagatan, the largest tank of the Oceanarium, a perfect area to display synchronized movement by talented performers. The Look Function Room which is situated just in front of the 25 meter long structure will serve as viewing area for the performances. Guests who purchase Oceanarium tickets during the dates scheduled for the event will be treated to free admission to the Mermaid Show; Sunset Quay guests will receive one free ticket with a minimum food purchase of Php150. Those who do not wish to purchase food or non-food items but would want to see the show may purchase Mermaid Show tickets at Php150 each at the Oceanarium ticket counters.

The mermaid show is FREE for all oceanarium visitors. It has been extended until further notice.

Mermaid shows will be shown every Tuesday to Sunday:
Tues-Wed-Fri: 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm
Thurs: 6pm, 7pm
Sat-Sun: 4pm, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 8pm
